Bull’s high-end NovaScale servers are based on the company’s unique  FAME (Flexible Architecture for Multiple Environment) architecture, which scales to support as many as 32 Dual-Core Intel® Itanium® 2 processors and 512 GB of memory. These systems support physical/logical partitioning and advanced virtualization for flexible consolidation and workload management. Different operating systems (Linux, Windows, GCOS) can be hosted in electrically isolated partitions, and each partition can be carved into any number of virtual machines that enable flexible and efficient allocation of server resources.

Bull’s two and four processor NovaScale servers are designed for mid-level enterprise transactional and data-tier applications, and for clustered server solutions with anywhere from two to hundreds of nodes. Bull’s expertise and solid reputation add to the value of these systems. The company supports enterprise customers across a wide range of industries, and is responsible for the design and implementation of Europe’s second largest supercomputer, a 602-node cluster with 4,352 Dual-Core Intel Itanium 2 processors that delivers 53 TFLOPS of computing power.
